THIS PRODUCT IS TO BE USED TO CONTROL SPIDERS OUTDOORS ON THE EXTERIOR SURFACES OF HOMES/BUILDINGS AND PORCHES, PATIOS AND DECKS, AND TO KILL LISTED PESTS ON OUTDOOR CROPS AND ORNAMENTAL PLANTS. This product contains permethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide.
Mixing Instructions: Dilute 20 mL of product in 1 L of water in a sprayer and apply as a course spray. For uses on the exterior surfaces of buildings and patio, porches and decks: apply as a spot treatment only. Spot application is localized to a surface area not more than 0.2 m2. Spots are not to be adjoining. The combined area of spots is not to exceed 10% of the total surface area of the surface being treated. Mix with water as directed below and apply with a sprayer as a coarse spray to give a thorough coverage. Apply when pests or damage are first noticed. Within the specified use location, to enhance effectiveness of this product, apply this product directly to the listed pest where possible. Good sanitary practices should be maintained to prevent re-infestation. Outdoors On The Exterior Surfaces Of Buildings And Patios, Porches, and Decks: Dilute 200 ml of product in 10 liters of water (or 20 ml in 1 liter) To Kill Spiders: Apply as a spot treatment onto patios, porches, decks, and outdoors on the exterior surfaces of the home/buildings such as around light fixtures, along siding, foundations, underneath eaves troughs and places where spiders may enter (e.g., windows and doors). DO NOT treat soil, turf or other plants adjacent to the structure being treated. Treatment must only be repeated after 14 days if pest problem persists or reoccurs. Vinyl and Aluminum Siding: The application of THE PROTECTOR HOUSE AND GARDEN to vinyl and aluminum siding (particularly lightly colored, aged, weathered or otherwise damaged) may result in staining, bleaching or discoloration. Factors such as extreme heat and direct sunlight can promote damage when using emulsifiable concentrates. Before applying to vinyl or aluminum siding, treat a small area and evaluate 30 minutes later to allow any potential staining to occur. Regardless of the test results, do not apply to vinyl or aluminum siding while exposed to direct sunlight or during the heat of the day. FOR USE ON OUTDOOR ORNAMENTAL PLANTS: NOTE: Treatment must only be repeated if pest problem persists or reoccurs. Do not apply more than 9.8 mL of THE SPIDER AND INSECTS DESTROYER per m2 CONIFEROUS TREES AND SHRUBS: White-Marked Tussock Moth, Douglas Fir Tussock Moth, Spruce Budworm and yellow-Headed Spruce Sawfly, Coneworm and open feeding Sawflies - Mix 50 ml with 10 L of water and thoroughly apply when first signs of feeding occur. DECIDUOUS TREES AND SHRUBS: Gypsy Moth, Forest tent Caterpillar, Eastern tent Caterpillar, Fall Webworm, Euonymus Webworm and Open feeding Aphids • Mix 70 ml with 10 L of water and thoroughly apply when insects appear. FRUITS TREES: PEARS: Eastern Canada - Pear Psylla (adults and nymphs) Codling Moth, Green Fruit worm • Apply 200 ml in 10 L of water. Do not apply within fourteen days before harvest. PLUMS: Plum Curculio: Apply 200 ml in 10 L of water. Do not apply within seven days of harvest. NECTARINES AND PEACHES: Oriental fruit Moth, Plum Curculio, Plant Bugs • Apply 200 ml in 10 L of water. Do not apply within seven days of harvest. GRAPES: Grape berry Moth • Apply 150 ml in 10 L of water. Grape Leafthopper • Apply 75 ml in 10 L of water. Do not apply less than 21 days before harvest.
FOR USE ON OUTDOOR CROPS : TOMATOES AND POTATOES: Colorado Potato Beetle, Potato Flea Beetle, Potato Leafhopper, Tarnished Plant Bug and White Flies • Mix 75 ml with 10 L of water. Do not apply to tomatoes within 1 day of harvest Cutworms • These insects attack and cut off seedlings, Transplants and low-lying plants like petunias and pansies. To confirm the cause, finger soil around damaged plant looking for a soft dark-coloured worm in a curled position. • Mix 75 ml with 10 L of water and apply to cover ground area of 100 m². If soil is organic (muck soil) or very dry, apply 150 ml in 10 L of water per 100 m². For variegated cutworms (climbing cutworms) on potatoes, tomatoes and ornamental plants • Mix 75 ml in 10 L of water. Thoroughly spray the plant and underlying ground at the first sign of damage. Do not apply within 1 day of harvest. NOTE: Only cutworms feeding on soil surface and above will be controlled. Subterranean cutworms will not be controlled unless they come up and move on the treated surface. PEPPERS: European Corn Borer • Mix 100 ml with 10 L of water and apply if corn borer is noticed on plants (usually end of July to early September). Do not apply within 1 day of harvest. SWEET CORN: European Corn Borer, Corn Earworm and Sap Beetle: • Mix 100 ml with 10 L of water. European Corn Borer • in early plantings, apply when first feeding is seen on leaves. In later plantings, apply before tassels show and repeat 5 day intervals until early silk stage (maximum of 4 applications per year). Corn Earworm • when 25% of ears show silk start spraying and fully cover ears and silk. Apply 4 sprays allowing 4 days between sprays (3 day intervals in hot water). Sap beetle • Apply when pink spotted beetles appear. Do not treat within one day of harvest. CABBAGE, CAULIFLOWER, BROCCOLI, BRUSSELS SPROUTS: Imported Cabbage Worm, Cabbage Looper, Diamondback Moth Larvae. • Mix 50 ml with 10 L of water. Do not spray cabbage, cauliflower and brussels sprouts within 3 days of harvest; Broccoli within 7 days of harvest. NOTE: CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO AVOID DEPOSITING THE PRODUCT ONTO SURFACES WHICH ARE EASILY ACCESSIBLE BY CHILDREN. DO NOT APPLY AS A SPACE SPRAY. NOTE: Do not use on roses, azaleas, camellias, poinsettias, geraniums, oxalis, coleus and variegated ivy.
